Etymology

Borough Hill. This is called 'the old burh ' in the Badby Charter (supra 11 n.) and Borow hill t. Hy 8 Dugd v, 178, Burrowgh hill , Burowhill 1591DuLaMiscBks . The burh is the earthwork commonly known as Borough Hill Camp, and sometimes, quite erroneously, as 'Danes Camp.'
