Rayner's Lane

Early-attested site in the Parish of Pinner

Etymology

Rayner's Lane is a newly developed area (post 1930). According to Druett (218) the lane took its name from one Rayner , an old shepherd who lived at the solitary cottage here less than 40 years ago.
