Etymology

Originally Little Greenford in distinction from Greenford or Great Greenford supra 33. The present name is not found before the beginning of the 16th century and would seem to be a ME  compound of perie , pirie , 'pear tree' (OE  pirige) and vale (from OFr  val ).
