Etymology

The Welsh Harp (officially 'The Brent or Kingsbury Reservoir') is an artificial lake formed in 1835–9 by the damming of the Brent near its junction with the Silk stream at this point. The popular name is from the old Welsh Harp Inn on the main road here.

Welsh Harp Bridge was Braynt Bridge in 1662(Sess).
