Etymology

'Káti's farm, village', v. . The first el. is the Scand. pers.n. ON  Káti , ODan  Kati found also in South Cadeby LSR, Cadeby Lei and Cadeby PN YWR 1, 63. It is sometimes North Cadeby in contrast to South Cadeby, both of which are extinct villages. Cadeby is represented today by Cadeby Hall infra . In 1327 and 1332SR it is assessed in Haverstoe Wapentake.
