Castle (lost), castelli de Grimesbi 1200, 1201, 1203 P, castelli de Grymesby 1200 OblR. “In 1200 Ralph of Bradley received £80 to provide materials for a castle for the king at Grimsby. Work was in fact started but no trace of a castle has ever been discovered and all that can be determined as to its position is that it was on land which later belonged to the Templars”, Gillett 10 and v. further Rigby 39.
