Etymology

Fulstow close(hedge), Fulstow hedge 1697(v. hecg and cf.that close called Fullstowe in the adjoining parish of Little Grimsby. Thesituation of these closes is not known, but presumably they might be on theircommon boundary; the parish of Fulstow is some miles to the north ofFotherby, but the fields might well represent an endowment relating to Fulstow,though none has been noted in the sources searched)
