Etymology

The king's farmstead, village', v. kunung , , identical with Coningsby (LSR). Little is known of the early history of the Conesbys, nor when they were in the king's hands (unlike Coningsby, v. DB 1, 96).North Conesby is depopulated and South Conesby represented by Conesby Fm.
