Etymology

EASTHORPE FM (lost), East -Thorpe Farme e17MiD , Easthorpe 1609MiD , East Thorpe 1658MiD , 1692Foster , Eastthorp 1662, 1664Terrier , Eastthorpe Farme 1697MiD , presumably a late example of the use of ODan  þorp in some such sense as 'an outlying farmstead', east of the village. Its site is not known.
