Five Fields (poss. alluding to an original five closes with the hedges grubbed out to make one large field, but poss. a misunderstood surn. Fifield in the possessive case, or even, if ancient, the toponymic source of the surn., i.e. OE   * fīf - hīd' five hides of land')
