Etymology

the East Fd 1786 (le Estfeld 1463, v. ēast, feld; one of the great open - fields of the township, prob. to be identified with Yngbarowefelde in f. ns. (b); it is later recorded as (in) campo orient' 1523 (with MLat   campus' a field' and orientalis' eastern'), and later still as the Upper fyeld 1635, The Over field 1703, v. f. ns. (b))
