Etymology

Weston Park is (in ) parco suo de Weston 1231 Cl. An alternative name was Hypegraue c. 1245Deed (p), park of Yppegrave 1307 Ipm, boscum de Yepegrave 1335FF , wood called Yepgrave 1365 Ipm, Ypgravefeld 1533AddCh . The second element in this name is clearly græfe , but the forms of the first element vary too widely for any interpretation of it to be possible.
