Astrope is Esthorpe 1396FF , Astrope 1470Ct , Estroppe 1528Recov , Astrup 1661 Sess. 'East village,' v. þorp . It lies just east of Puttenham. There was a lost Westthorpe mentioned in 1312 (Ass ).
