Etymology
St Margarets Fm is on the site of the early 12th century nunnery of St Margaret de Bosco or Ivinghoe Nunnery (VCH ii, 317). Cf. monialibus Sancte Margarete de Gatesden 1260 Cl, i.e. Gaddesden, St Margaretts wood c. 1660Brownlow .
