Herringworth Hall is Harynggeworthe 1349, 1357Ct , Haryngworth 1354, 1416 ib. The forms are late. It may be identical with Harringworth (PN Nth 168), going back to an OE  *Hæringa worþ , or it may be manorial and not local in origin.
