Serridge Ho, Shirigge 1323Ass (p), 1427, 1436 Pat, 1486FF , Shirygg 1533–8 ECP, Shyrugge 1327SR (p), Sherigge (s )1485–1500 ECP, 1486 Ipm, Sherridge 1707GR 892. 'Bright ridge', v. scīr 2 , hrycg ; cf. Serridge (37 supra , 219 infra ). As the name is repeated elsewhere, it is not likely to contain scīr 1 'shire', though Kendleshire (supra ) which contains scīr 1 is not far away.
