Pen Hill, Pen Lane, Pen Wood, the Penhill 1700Probyn 30, Pennhill , the Penn 1770GR 445, Penn Wood 1839TA . This is doubtless from Brit  penno- 'hill' with hyll added; it refers to a prominent hill projecting towards King's Stanley.
