Etymology

Peckstreet Fm, Peckestrete 1306Ass (p), Pekstrete 1461 Ct 219, 1462GR 445, Peckstreet (e )1635 Inq, 1768GR 67, Pig-street 1779 Rudder.Probably from OE  pēac 'peak' and strǣt, the road leading to Pen Hill (infra ) which is now called Pen Lane.
