Etymology

'Farmstead associated with Baduhelm', v. -ing 4 , tūn . The pers.n. is OE  Baduhelm or some other name in Badu -. The reduction finds a parallel in Forthampton (ii, 57supra ). 'Great' in relation to Little Badminton (29infra ).
