Etymology

Littleworth (lost), Littleworth or Lower Southgate-street 1779 Rudder, possibly identical with Lutelton 1235 Fees, Lyttelton 1549 FF. 'Little farmstead', v. lȳtel , tūn , and cf. Littleworth (34supra ) for a similar change of -ton to -worth . It was one of the South Hamlets of Gloucester.
