Nastend, le Easte ende c. 1603TRMB , Nastend 1567FF , 1712 Will.'The east end of the town', v. ēast , ende , with initial N - from a wrong analysis of ME  atten east-ende (cf. Nupend infra ). Other parts of the parish are Churchend, Millend, Nupend and Westend (infra ).
