Bayshill, Beues hill 1605Comm , Bayes hill 1605 ib, 1606AOMB , Bashill 1606 ib. Bays is probably a reduced form of the ME  pers.n. Bevis or the surname Beevis (cf. Reaney 27); v. hyll .
