Toadsmoor, Tudde (s )mere 1250–90CirenR , Todgmore or Todesmorebottom 1779 Rudder 290. The first el. is probably an OE  Tudd , a strong form of the recorded Tud (d )a (Redin 71). v. mere 'pool'.
