Wades Hall is Wade Hall (1768 M) and may have been named from the family of James Wade of Manuden (1633Harl ), but as the hall is on rising ground, this may have been the home of John de Wadesho (1285Ass ), hall being then a refashioning of hoe or how . 'Wade 's hoh.'
