Etymology

'Tæcca 's clearing,' v. leah . This pers. name is not recorded in OE  but we have Tæcce in Tatchbury (Ha)Taceberie DB.Side by side with this, there must have existed Tæcca , the basis of Tackley (O) and Tackbear (PN D 135).
