Stebbingford Fm is Stebbyngford 1337Ct . This is near Stebbingford Bridge (6″) which is Stebbyngford Bredge 1547Rental . An earlier name was Horstedafort 1086 DB, Horstedeford 1248Ass , 1285 ib. (p). 'Ford by the miry place,' v. horh , stede . This is where Stane Street crosses Stebbing Brook.
