Stonebridge olim Warkway Bridge (6″) is Warkway bridge al. Stonebridge 1605WaldenA . v. (ge)weorc. There was also a Warkway Shott near here (v. sceat ). The 'work' or fort must have been the castle, and the roads leading to it from both north and south must have been called Warkway .
