For Ginges v. Margaretting supra 258. Named from the first Prior. Cf. (in the foundation charter) “church of St Mary and St Leonard in their wood of Ginges and to Tobias prior…” (c. 1142–50 Bodl). Thoby Wood is Thoby Woode t. Hy 8Survey .
