Etymology
Brazenhead Fm is Brason Head (e )1558, 1634 ER i, Brasenhed 1579Ct , 1592Rental , Bollingtons alias Brasenhed ib., and is so called because a leopard's head of brass was formerly affixed to the outer gate. v. ER i, 104 ff.
