Westend Hall is Westone c. 1045 (14th) ASWills, Vuestunā 1086 DB, Vueston juxta Clare 1212 RBE, Vueston juxta Beauchamp 1306 Ipm, Vestonehall 1332 Cl, Westonend 1777 C. 'West farm,' v. tun . In the east of the parish. West perhaps because north-west of Liston, but more probably because almost due west of Acton (Sf).
