For Genge , v. Margaretting infra 258.Fouchers , from the family of Henry Fitz Fulcher (1203 Cur, FF) and Warin Fitz Fucher (1224 Pat). Cf. Fouchers infra 480, and v. EAS xvii, 105. Puelle , because Gingā (doubtfully identified with Mountnessing in VCH (i, 541), but obviously, in view of the above forms, belonging here) was held in the time of Edward the Confessor (DB) by 'two free maids' (ii puellæ liberæ ).
