Withfleet (lost) was Wyth (e )flet (e )1279Meaux , 1349 ib., 13th, 14th Melsa, Wytflete 1401 ib. 'Withy fleot,' v. wiðig . Withfleet was inundated with other places on the Humber in 1401 (Melsa iii, 288).
