Identical with Aislaby North Yorkshire SE 7785, Aslache (s )bi 1086, Aselacbi c.1160, Aslakebi , Aslakeby 1167–1303 PNYN 77; and Aslackby Lincolnshire TF 0830, Aslachebi 1096, Aslakeby a.1160 DLiPN 5. The forms Aselacby , Aselakeby show interconsonantal AN svarabhakti e (SPNN 65). Aislaby North Yorkshire NZ 8505 is of different origin, 'Asulf's farm', Asulue (s )bi 1086.
