molend' de Seuemelne(2 ×),Seuermelne 1288(the form Shuvemelne 1247(1270), in the bounds ofGillingham forest probably also belongs here, v. myln; if the Seue - formsare to be trusted, the first el. may be seofon'seven' in some undeterminedsense, or ME  seue from OE  sifa'sieve', perhaps with reference to somesort of hatch or grating).
