Chaldecot (lost, probably near Modbury infra ), Cheldecote 1275, Chaldecote 1280 Ipm, 'cold cottage(s)', v. cald (WSax  ceald), cot , perhaps referring to an exposed situation, cf. Chaldecots 185.
