Brimbley Coombe Fm (ST 435007), earlier simply Cumb '1221 Cur, Cume 1236 FF (p), Combe 1327 SR (p), 1441 AD I, 1453Bodl , 1863 Hutch3, Hr. Combe 1811 OS, Coombe Farm 1839TA , from cumb 'valley', later named from Brimbley Fm supra which lies some ⅔ mile ESE, cf. Old Coombe infra .
