Middlestreet (lost, about ST 913023), Middlestreet 1863 Hutch3, Middelstret (e )1278 FFet freq to 1497Ilch , Myddelstrete 1493ib , Middlestre (e )te 1598, 1599Drax , 'middle street or hamlet', v. middel , strǣt ; the manor lay 'in the middle between Spettisbury and Great Crawford' (Hutch3 3519), and along the middle one of three minor roads running SW-NE through the par., cf.
