Etymology

'Farm called after Ēadbeorht', from the OE  pers.n. Ēadbeorht and -ingtūn, cf. Abberton Wo 184, alternating with 'Ēadbeorht's farm', v. -es 2 , in three of the early forms.The 'hundred of Iberton '1490 Pat no doubt refers to Whiteway hundred supra .
