Bryanston par. supra . The DB manor of Dervinestone (cf. par. name supra ), assessed at 2½ hides, was held TRE by five taini or thanes (cf. W Knighton 1207) and in 1086 by William (de Estre ) (VCHDo 387); the identification of this manor with Knighton is suggested by the fact that 2½ hides in Knicteton ' were held by Richard de Estre in 1212 Fees (87) (Eyton 131–2, VCHDo 360).
