Etymology

West Holme in this par. is a tithing in Hasler hundred supra . Rushton and Bestwall were in Worgret tithing in 1795 Boswell, and the W part of Stoborough tithing was in this par. at the same date (v. Arne par. supra ).In 1888 various detached parts of E Stoke were transferred to other pars., Belhuish Fm and St Andrew's Fm to W Lulworth par. supra , Bestwall and Swineham to Wareham St M. par. infra .
