Dorchester St Peter & All Saints

Etymology
In 1894 the parish of Holy Trinity was merged in that of St Peter, the borough then comprising for civil purposes the parishes of St Peter and All Saints, but in 1927 these two parishes were united to form one civil parish.The borough was extended to include the parish of Fordington, and parts of the parishes of Bradford Peverell, Charminster, Winterborne Herringston and Winterborne Monkton in 1900, and parts of the parishes of Stinsford and West Stafford in 1933.
