v. George Nympton supra 348. The manor was held TRE by one Alward Merta . In 1222 (FF) it was in the possession of Gregory Lupus (i.e. Wolf), in 1303 (FA) of Ricardus le Low (OFr  lo , lou , 'wolf'), and in 1359 (Ipm) of Walter Wolf or Le Wolf
