Lank Combe

Early-attested site in the Parish of Brendon

Etymology

The first element may, as suggested by Blomé (3), be OE  hlanc , 'long, narrow'; OE  lang is equally possible. Lank Combe is a long narrow valley running up from Badgworthy Water; it is now uninhabited, but in DB was the home of one villein.
