Etymology
Lindridge Ho (6″), Lyndrik '1200, Lyndrik ' qui mons est extra portam monasterij 1240, late 13thDale . 'Lime-tree ridge', v. lind , ric ; cf. Lindrick and Lendrick (WRY), Lindrick (PN Nt 12–3) and for the second element Mouldridge Grange supra 352. The sense of ric in the present example would seem to be 'ridge', cf. the reference above dated 1240.
