Wallstone Fm, Walestune 1086 DB, Walston 1415DuLaMB , 1637, DuLaSC , 1698 ParReg Duffield. Perhaps 'farm of the Briton or serf', v. walh , or 'Walh's farm', v. tūn . The latter is perhaps more likely.
