Coarselow Wood (6″), cf. Costelowe c. 1220FMS , Costelawe 13thRufford . Cost (e )- appears fairly frequently in Db p.ns., often compounded as here with hlāw. No certainty is possible but it may be 'hill where a trial was made', v. cost 1 , hlāw .
