Etymology
This is correctly explained by Denton (21) who speaks, of “Seaskall Hall…which is so called of this word Skale, drawn from the latin Scalinga ad mare a Scale or Skeele, for cattle and sheepcot at ye sea.”v. sǣ , skáli .
