'Cold stream,' v. kaldr , bekkr . It is called Caldebeke Underfell in 1519 (FF ) to distinguish it from Upton which is Caldebek Upton 1519FF , Uptoune 1540MinAcct , 'higher settlement,' v. uppe , tūn . Cf. Uppington Yeate 1660Cocker . The stream itself is referred to in aquam de Caldebek 1292Ass .
