Etymology

Kill Flatt c.1666(v. cyln, flat. There were two fields so called, the Higher Kill Flatt and the Lower Kill Flatt. It is possible they are the same as the Top Kiln Walby andthe Lower Kiln Walby fields(Kiln Walby, supra) and this would explain themodern form of Kiln Walby)
