Etymology

'Cūsa's clearing', from the OE  pers.n. Cūsa (Feilitzen 219) or a derivative *Cȳsa , and lēah. Mere Fm is Quoisley 1831 Bry, 1842 OS, cf. Quoisley Big Mere & Quoisley Little Mere infra , and Quoisley Field 1837TA , Coisley Field , Little Coisley Croft 1598Chol , and Bickley Brook 325infra .
